Damage Verification Sampling, testing and damage verification
Remediation Works The remediation of the dwelling to the required standard;
the monitoring and inspection of works, snagging and final certification

Recoupment of Costs by the Scheme Participant

Once a dwelling is accepted for remediation under the Pyrite Remediation Scheme, the Scheme Participant can recoup the following costs:

Building Condition Assessment (BCA) The vouched cost of procuring the initial BCA from a competent person, subject to an overall maximum limit of €500 (incl. VAT)
Alternative accommodation The vouched costs for alternative accommodation, subject to a monthly maximum limit of €2,000 (incl. VAT) and an overall limit of €6,000 (incl. VAT)
Removal, storage and return of the furniture etc. to the dwelling The vouched costs for the temporary removal, storage and return of furniture, equipment and effects, subject to a maximum limit of €2,500 (incl. VAT)

Where a scheme participant satisfies the Housing Agency in advance that suitable rental accommodation cannot be obtained for €6,000 or less, the accommodation and storage expenses may be combined, subject to an overall limit of €8,500 (incl. VAT).

N.B. No other costs, including those that may have been incurred by the applicant prior to the application, will be covered by the Scheme.
